"The seventh edition of the Biennale Internazionale d'Arte Contemporanea in
Florence has ended with great success of visiting public on the 13th of December
last year at the Fortezza da Basso. With over 650 artists from 78 countries, the Biennial
has presented over 2500 works in this edition."

Awards are presented at the conclusion of the biennial in the categories of painting,
sculpture, works on paper, video, installation and photography. Of the 650 artists
particpating, 70 hailed from America. I received the bronze in photography and
was the only American to place in the top three of any of the aforementioned six categories.
