Massive Portfolio Update

Journeys 2012 is a new portfolio addition that consists of images produced between
March and October 2012 primarily during my academic sabbatical leave.  Photographic assets
for these 110 images were acquired via two trips to Europe and two major road trips
throughout the US totalling over 13,000 miles combined.

La Muse Artist Residency

I will be in attendance at the La Muse Artist Residency in Labastide Esparbairenque, France
from September 7th to September 27th.  A labor of love for husband and wife team

Cheap Coffee & Beef Jerky

Interview with curator Derek Coté about select artworks displayed on an electronic
billboard in Detroit, Michigan.  The title and chosen images are derived from the
experience of a road trip (my works are referenced at the 4:49 mark.)

Barcelona Showcase

I will be exhibiting in Barcelona Showcase 2012 at the prestigious Casa Batlló.

Dublin Biennial

I am honored to have been selected to exhibit in the Dublin Biennial; 55 artists
(including Yoko Ono!) from 20 countries participated this inaugural event.

515 Gallery - Clare, Michigan

Arts@1830 Gallery - Solo Exhibit in Washington DC

I mounted a solo exhibit at arts@1830 gallery in Washington DC that ran from
February 7th to March 30th, 2012 (many thanks to owner/artist extraordinaire Gina Miele!)

GRAM adds "Midland" to permanent collection

The Grand Rapids Art Museum has acquired my 4' x 8' work titled "Midland" and has added it
to their permanent collection.  The GRAM is the first LEED certified art museum in the world
(video here); I initially exhibited "Midland" at the museum in 2010 (photo here.)  I am honored

Art Reach Auction

I donated a version of "Midland" to the annual Art Reach of Mid Michigan Auction
that was the highest bid item of the night at $3,200.
